Welcome to the LittleBigPlanet Union Forum. This is a hub for our community. The forum is a place for casual chat, questions, discussion, and more. We welcome you to share your thoughts, ideas, questions, answers, and experience here on the site!
We encourage you to check out the LBP Union's Code of Conduct first. After that, here is a guide about how the forum works and what you should do to keep the flow going.
How the Forum Works
The LBP Union Forum is like many other Internet forums. It is organized by categories, threads, and posts. This filters content from broad to specific. Categories specify the broad topic of conversation. Before posting, look through the categories list for a topic that matches yours. Threads are conversations begun by an original poster (OP) that other users like you can respond to. These have a more specific topic specified in the thread's title. Posts are messages and responses posted inside these threads.
Categories
Here are a list of our main categories. There are several subcategories within each category. This is very similar to giving your post a flair on Reddit.
Introductions: Say hello!
LBP Union Headquarters: This category is for discussion about the Union and things going on with the community! You can talk about groups, events and contests, and talk about site updates here.
General Discussion: Talk about anything LBP! LittleBigPlanet news, discuss Sackboy topics, ask for help, and more.
Showcase: Show off your fancy creations!
Nuts and Bolts: Technical discussion about the site, give feedback, and topics about our Discord server.
The Laboratory: For technical discussion about LBP modding, helpful resources, glitches and physics, and emulation.
LBP Community Guides: Your place to find and write helpful LBP creative guides!
Stay on Topic
It's important to make sure that you stay on topic when posting in the forum so that others do not get confused. Make sure you check our categories carefully to make sure you are posting in the right place. If you aren't sure where to go, post a question to our Forum Help category!
Etiquette
It's important to stay respectful and aware of messages and content that we post in the forum. Here are some helpful guidelines on how you can help others and things you can avoid to keep your experience great.
Gravedigging
Sometimes we find a post that we want to respond to, but the last message was posted weeks, months, even years ago! Posting in inactive threads isn't helpful for the site. A general rule is that you shouldn't post in a thread that hasn't had a new post in over a month.
Do Not Hijack Threads
Similar to staying on topic, do not hijack threads by turning the conversation in an entirely new direction. Conversations naturally tend to take turns but remember that if you are straying too far from the original topic, it might be time to start a new thread.
Do Not Spam
We enjoy your memes just as much as you do, but we prefer that they not clutter up our nice and tidy forum. Join our Discord server and post them in our memes channel!
Promote Yourself Appropriately
While the LBP Union is all about elevating content creators and groups and their work, it's important that we promote ourselves respectfully. A great rule of thumb is to let your work speak for itself. Share what you've built and post discussion threads about videos you've uploaded in our Showcase category!
Content Awareness
Please make sure to keep content on the forum PG. LittleBigPlanet is a family friendly game and if any content you've created contains any mature language or themes, please provide a content warning before linking to it. Refrain from using mature language in thread responses. Content warnings are also encouraged in case your work contains themes that may be troubling to some viewers.
Piracy
Do not post links to download proprietary files. This is a form of piracy and your posts will be removed.
And with that, you're ready to get posting on the forum! Please let us know if you have any questions and thank you for joining the LBP Union!
