If you have expertise, experience, or knowledge with LittleBigPlanet, you can make a difference by helping others learn how to improve their creative abilities! Create a post on our forum in the LBP Community Guides category that can help others. We may invite you to include your guide in our official LBP Creative Guides collection!
To maximize your chances of being invited and also to be as helpful as possible to others, please follow the guidelines below. Don't worry about being perfect, we will help you edit if we invite you to contribute a guide!
Guidelines
#1 — Structure your content.
Structuring your content using formatting tools can make your guide easier to read. Be sure to edit your posts on a desktop computer so that you can highlight text and add formatting such as bold text, italics, title headings, links, videos, and photos.
It's best to make sure that paragraphs are no longer than three sentences in length. Be sure to split up paragraphs with images, dividers, videos, or other content to help make it flow better.
#2 — Use unique content.
Do not copy or plagiarize other content. If you reference other materials, please cite them and provide links to them. Providing your own images and resources will be especially helpful for users and can make your content more unique for search engines like Google.
#3 — Use appropriate language.
It's best to use a conversational, but clear tone when creating guides. Try not to make them too technical. Make them as simple as you can. At the same time, use polite language when writing. Currently we can only accept guides written in English.
#4 — Be clear about the game you are writing for.
If you are writing a guide for LittleBigPlanet 3, please make sure that you note that the guide is for that particular game and console version. This applies to guides that apply to multiple games. Be mindful that not everyone has the same console and game as you do.
#5 — Keep self promotion to a minimum
The purpose of these guides is to be helpful for other users. Please do not use guides as an opportunity for explicit self promotion. We have plenty of alternatives for you to gain outreach for your projects such as our Groups feature and the Showcase category.
#6 — Feel free to stylize!
Feel free to stylize your guides as much as you'd like! If we invite you to include the guide (or a version of it) in our official guide collection, we will have to edit it to fit alongside the other guides. In the meantime please be as creative as you'd like!
Thank you for writing guides on our site! By helping others with your advice, you can help preserve the LBP community and knowledge of the creative process for years to come!
