About the Role
Union Space Corps Surveyors are the first step for anyone looking to contribute directly toward improving the Beacon custom server experience. Surveyors are our boots on the ground to help others patch their games, communicate with the Beacon community, and collect valuable server data.
The responsibilities of Surveyors vary, but can include:
Providing assistance on Discord and other channels help people patch their LittleBigPlanet games to connect to Beacon.
Assisting with the execution of Beacon events.
Helping direct users to the appropriate resources on Discord, as well as promoting proper usage of our Discord support forum.
Communicate with Beacon's community using profile and level comments, QR code image uploads, informational levels, P2P communication, and more.
Collecting data on Beacon's performance, using tools such as packet captures, monitoring tools, and user bug reports.
Collecting data on the Beacon user experience, using tools such as surveys, monitoring user comments, and user bug reports.
Reviewing user bug reports, identifying problematic patterns that may need to be escalated to R&D.
Requirements
Be at least 15 years old.
Must be in our Discord server.
Must have an active Beacon account.
Experience with patching LittleBigPlanet titles for Project Lighthouse.
Comfort in demonstrating, explaining, and helping others patching LittleBigPlanet titles for Project Lighthouse.
Attention to detail
Strong communication skills
