Breaking: Massive LittleBigPlanet Server Archive Discovered

This is a developing story. More details will be added as we learn more. This post was last updated on 5/7/2024 at 4:09 PM EST.

A massive set of files has been uncovered on Archive.org. A user named tamiya99 uploaded 17 separate files to the Internet Archive that seemingly contain backups of every LittleBigPlanet level published to the official servers from February 20th, 2023. The source of the content has yet to be confirmed.

With LittleBigPlanet community members in outcry at the recent discontinuation of the LittleBigPlanet 3 servers on PS4, the emergence of this archive brings hope that all of the levels seemingly lost in the server shutdown weren’t lost after all.

According to the initial data analysis, the archive contains over two million entries for users. This suggests that there were over two million users registered in the database for the official servers. The ‘slots’ data table reports over 10 million levels.

The LBP Union Research and Development team is investigating the archive and we hope to provide more information about its contents by working with community leaders to make the content as accessible as possible for players and creators to enjoy their favorite levels again.
