Beacon Spring Contest 2025: Create a New LittleBigPlanet Scene!

The weather is warming up here in Craftworld, and we’re gearing up to enter our big contest season! With Reconnected around the corner, it’s time for a little warm up. This post will tell you everything you need to know about how to enter our Beacon Spring Contest!

Welcome, Spring!

Beacon Spring Contest 2025 is all about celebrating the arrival of the Spring season in Craftworld. We’re looking for shorter, scenery-focused experiences rather than playable levels, however your level can be as playable as you’d like. We’re looking for scenes, eye candy levels, and galleries that highlight the themes of Spring. Here are a couple of ideas:

• April showers bring May flowers. Why not show some flowers blooming in a beautiful garden?
• Easter¹ bunnies and candy can fill a scene with color!
• Maybe your scene has a short animation where all the snow from winter melts away?

These are just a few ideas. What you do is up to you!

Judging

We are primarily judging entries based on the following criteria:

1. Does the level contain the #LBPUSpring2025 hashtag in the title? Required to win.
2. Is the level’s visual fidelity excellent?
3. Does the level adhere to the Spring theme?

You are welcome to add as much gameplay or other elements as you’d like, but you won’t get any extra points for it. Take it easy, and save your platforming efforts for the Reconnected contest this Summer! Please note, you can only submit one level for the contest. If you attempt to submit more than one level, or a level on multiple games, we may contact you to have you decide which level you’d like to submit.

Please also make sure that your level follows Beacon’s rules.

Rewards

There can be a maximum of four winners in this contest, one for each LittleBigPlanet game (1, 2, 3, and Vita). Winners will receive a team pick on their level, a feature in a results blog post, and an exclusive Discord role. Only the publisher of the level can be eligible to win. In order to get the Discord role, you’ll need to join our Discord server and sign up for the contest. More on that below!

How to Participate

To participate, the minimum is to publish a level that meets the above criteria, making sure that your level has the #LBPUSpringContest hashtag in the title. However, if you’d like to be eligible for the Discord role prize, you’ll need to join our Discord server and complete a few steps:

1. Join our Discord server.
2. In the #contest-submissions forum channel, create a post with the Spring Contest tag
3. Share the name of your level in this new post, some brief details about it, and if you have any pictures, please share them!
4. Don’t forget to include your Beacon account name so that we can associate your Discord account with your Beacon account easily.
