Although the popular platform suffers from these issues, it's important to consider that this is an issue we must learn to navigate safely. The more steps that we take to improve our environment through digital citizenship, the closer we can get to achieving a safer Internet and online community.

LBP Union Trust and Safety Standards
These standards are based on the LBP Union Code of Conduct and Discord's Community Guidelines. Staff on LittleBigPlanet Discord Servers should include these rules or some variation of them and ensure that these rules are maintained to the best of their ability.

Engagement in or promotion of harassment is not tolerated. Staff should be prepared to diffuse harassment, threats, hate speech and doxing. This includes, but is not limited to, discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or ability.

LittleBigPlanet is a family friendly video game series, meaning that not-safe-for-work content should not be allowed on community-focused servers with a younger audience. Because of this, we will never sponsor or recommend LBP servers to you in which server staff support or allow the posting of NSFW content. This includes pornography, extreme violence, and gore. We also include content that users may be sensitive to or triggered by in this category. For example, discussions of rape, violence, animated images and videos with excessive flashing lights, or any other content that may seriously distress someone.

Members of a community should be able to trust their server staff. Never disclose private information of others or allow private information of others to be disclosed online. This includes names, addresses, health information (physical and mental), location, and other sensitive personal information. This is closely related to rule 1.

Server staff should operate fairly. It's impossible to perfectly enforce server rules, but enforce rules as fairly as possible. Do not show favoritism to other rule-breakers over others. Lead by example; server staff should ensure that they are following the same rules that they have put in place for the server.
